| Russian Cultural Center Russian Soul Mission and Goals
Mission statement The Russian Cultural Center “Russian Soul” is committed to preserving and promoting the rich and diverse ethnic Russian cultural and artistic heritage through research, presentation, and outreach programs, as well as serving as a liaison between the Russian-speaking community and the broader community of the Twin cities. We advocate and support such community values as understanding and appreciation of ethnic and cultural diversity, art, education, and a spirit of sharing. The center offers a variety of workshops, lectures, demonstrations, folk dance lessons for children and other activities aimed at promoting ethnic Russian culture and art. Our folk ensemble “Belozer’e” provides an activity that is socially engaging, physically challenging, creative, and culturally and mentally stimulating for performers and spectators of all ages. We hope that the RCC will enrich the multicultural educational and artistic community of the Twin Cities, offering a unique exposure to authentic folk Russian culture. We firmly believe that the power of folk arts and crafts will inspire people, promote community spirit, enrich daily life, and help new immigrants to adjust to life in the new country. ![]() Goals • Find a home for the RCC and other Twin Cities organizations promoting Russian Culture and Art • Research and collect information and artifacts related to Ethnic Russian Culture • Organize exhibitions, lectures, performances, and demonstrations to promote Ethnic Russian Culture • Represent Russian folk art at the Festival of Nations and other events • Support and develop ensemble “Belozer’e” • Create a children’s Russian song and dance group • Provide a healing and supportive environment for Russian-speaking immigrants • Provide support and educational opportunities for mixed Russian-American couples, parents of adopted children from Russia, and students of Russia and Russian culture Contact us for more information This site is powered by e107, which is released under the terms of the GNU GPL License.
