Mission statement
The Russian Cultural Center, Russian Soul, is committed to preserving and promoting rich and diverse ethnic Russian cultural and artistic heritage through research, presentation, and outreach programs. It also serves as a liaison between the Russian-speaking community and the broader community of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
We advocate and support such community values as understanding and appreciation of ethnic and cultural diversity, art, education, and sharing spirit.
We support immigrants and adopted children from Russia through their process of adaptation and the trauma of immigration through a holistic approach to their emotional and psychological needs, offering ancient Russian folk arts and crafts as therapeutic mediums; as well as helping them to forge and strengthen ties in the community.
We enrich the multicultural educational and artistic community of the Twin Cities with the unique exposure to authentic folk Russian culture. We firmly believe that the power of folk arts and crafts will inspire people, promote community spirit, enhance daily life, and help immigrants to adjust to life in the new country.
